This week, we put Dr Phillips in the hot seat to find out more about her life both in and out of school!
When we asked Dr Phillips what her favourite movie is, she said Shrek, because she enjoys a good adventure with a comedic storyline! Who doesn’t love Shrek!
Surprisingly, Dr Phillips hasn’t just worked in lots of schools here in the UK. Before coming to TIFS, she travelled to different countries around the world, teaching pupils from many different backgrounds. This gave her lots of exciting experiences and stories to share.
As a child, Dr Phillips wanted to be a pilot because she dreamed of exploring the world from the seat of an aeroplane. That love of travel clearly stayed with her!
When asked where she would like to be right now, Dr Phillips jokingly replied “nowhere”, explaining that she believes it is the safest place to be.
Her favourite food is anything with chilli, as it reminds her of family time. When it comes to drinks, she prefers tropical flavours, saying she likes “exotic” drinks. Pineapples, Mangos and Passion fruits!
Dr Phillips has three pets: two cats and a bunny. Their names are Pumpkin, Panpan, and Hunny Bunny.
At TIFS, Dr Phillips is an MFL teacher. She has also run enrichments such as Puzzle Club, International Café, and French Ambassadors, where pupils learn about languages and European cultures.
It was great to learn more about Dr Phillips and the exciting experiences she brings to our school!
