This week, we put Mr Fisher in the hot seat to find out more about him and his life both in and out of school!

When we asked Mr Fisher what his favourite movie is, he said Pirates of the Caribbean because he enjoys a good adventure with a laugh – which definitely suits his fun personality.

Surprisingly, Mr Fisher hasn’t always worked in a school. Before coming to TIFS, he worked as an electrician for seven years and then spent four years as a full-time event technician, working at festivals and large events. That explains why he knows so much about lighting and sound!

As a child, Mr Fisher wanted to be a firefighter because he wanted to help people, which shows he has always cared about others.

If he could be anywhere in the world right now, Mr Fisher would choose Barbados, as he loves hot, sunny places where he can relax and enjoy the view.

His favourite food is a classic roast dinner, especially the roast potatoes, because it reminds him of family time. When it comes to drinks, Mr Fisher keeps it simple with tea, saying he likes it strong, like a builder’s tea!

At the moment, Mr Fisher doesn’t have any pets, but he used to have a mini Cockapoo Labradoodle. He said he wouldn’t mind getting another one because they are very friendly and full of energy.

Mr Fisher’s role at TIFS is Theatre Learning Support Assistant. His job includes setting up the theatre and helping students with lighting, sound, and staging. He has also run an electrical enrichment, where students learned the basics of electrics and how to solder.

It’s clear that Mr Fisher brings lots of exciting real-life experience to TIFS – especially behind the scenes in the theatre!
