As we head into a brand new term, students are getting excited about the range of enrichment activities on offer. This time around, everyone had the chance to share their preferences through a straw poll, and there’s something for everyone—whether you’re into solving mysteries, trying new sports, or diving into something academic!
Some of the highlights include the Cheese Appreciation Society, Murder Mystery, a variety of sports options, plus academic enrichments like Law and Higher Maths. And for those who need a bit of extra help with their work, Homework Club is back too.
Many Year 10 students are particularly excited about the Murder Mystery enrichment. Leila, a Year 10 student, said, “I thought there weren’t many choices I’d personally pick, but for Year 10s, I really like the Murder Mystery one. It’s something we haven’t had before!”
Zzahra, also in Year 10, added, “There were lots of interesting options, even though I wouldn’t choose most of them. But when I saw the Cheese Appreciation Society, I got so excited! I love cheese, and now I can join with other people who feel the same way. I can’t wait!”
Some students are looking forward to the more sporty enrichments, like Netball, which Isla in Year 10 is particularly keen on. She said, “I liked the Netball enrichment, and I’m also interested in the A Level Law enrichment—something new for me!”
While some students thought the range of choices was just “alright” (like Bo in Year 9), it’s clear that there’s a lot of variety this term. From hands-on activities to more academic subjects, it looks like there’s something for everyone to enjoy!
It’ll be exciting to see how the new enrichments live up to expectations next term. We can’t wait to hear what everyone thinks after they get a chance to try them out!
