Recently, a group of TIFS pupils took part in an exciting athletics competition, where they competed against other schools in a range of different events. We caught up with some of the pupils who took part to find out how they got on and what they enjoyed most about the day.

We asked them if they found the competition tricky, what events they took part in, where the competition was held, what their favourite part of the day was and whether they enjoyed the experience.

Most of the pupils agreed that the competition was challenging, but they also said it was great fun. There were lots of different events to take part in, including sprinting, longer-distance running, long jump, rowing, javelin and discus, so there was something for everyone.

The Bay were the overall winners on the day, but everyone from TIFS gave their best effort and represented the school brilliantly. They showed great determination, teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the competition.

When we asked what they enjoyed most, many pupils said spending the day with their friends was one of the highlights. Others loved the excitement of competing against pupils from other schools and challenging themselves in different athletic events.

Overall, everyone agreed that athletics was a fun, exciting and rewarding experience, even if it was tough at times. It was a fantastic opportunity to try new events, meet other competitors and and get stuck into some healthy competition.

Well done to everyone who took part – you should all be proud of your achievements! If you get the chance to compete next year, we’d definitely recommend giving it a go!
