We interviewed pupils and teachers at TIFS to find out how they spent their Christmas and what made it special.

The first question we asked was, “What are three words that describe your Christmas?”
Some Year 8 pupils said “spectacular, grateful and fun,” while others described their Christmas as “fun, tiring and happy.” We then asked what they got for Christmas, and surprisingly, three people said they received guitars! What a great present!

Next, we moved on to interview some Year 9 pupils. We asked, “What Christmas traditions do you have?” One person told us that every Christmas Eve, their family watches a Christmas movie together. Each year, a different person gets to choose the movie, and they all make different snacks – yum!

We then asked, “What do you usually do on Boxing Day?” one pupil said they go to their grandparents’ house and enjoy a big buffet with their family.

One pupil told us that on Christmas Eve, his dad has a gig and they often go to watch him perform. He also said that during the Christmas period, he eats a lot of chocolate and sweets, which we can all relate to!

We also interviewed Mr Edgington about his Christmas. He said he got money and socks this year, but his favourite present ever was a guitar he received one Christmas. Every year, his university friends come over on Christmas Eve, and on Christmas Day evening, they all play board games together. On Boxing Day, he usually watches football and said he has only done the Boxing Day swim once because it was “not fun.” We can imagine it would have ben so cold!

It sounds like Christmas at TIFS was full of fun, food, and great memories!
