As summer came to an end, we wanted to find out what music pupils – and even a few teachers – were loving this summer. We went around school and asked everyone about their artist of the summer 2025.
Layla W said she’s been listening to Joshua Colley and can’t stop playing “I’m Gonna Remember This”. Niamh S chose Ariana Grande with “Side to Side”, while Miss Powell went classic, picking The Rolling Stones and “Wild Horses”. Gretel L loved Sabrina Carpenter’s “Manchild”, and Poppy Y enjoyed Alex Warren’s “Ordinary”. Amelia P also picked Alex Warren, but her favourite was “Tattoo”.
Miss Dell chose Harry Styles and “Heap Driving”. Sophie A enjoyed Sarah BT’s “Where Can You Run To”, and Phoebe R’s favourite was Huntrix with “Takedown”. Keina M picked Jorge Rivera Herrans and his track “Legendary”, and Miss Widgery went for Brian Adams with “Come Up and See Me”.
Overall, the choices were really varied, showing just how different everyone’s taste in music can be. Personally, we think the best song of the summer has to be “I’m Gonna Remember This” by Joshua Colley – it’s definitely going to stick in our heads for a while!
