At our school, there are lots of different enrichments to choose from, but one that really stands out is Flight Club. It’s the perfect place for pupils who are fascinated by planes and want to learn how to build their very own models.
One pupil explained, “It is where you make planes,” while another added, “You build planes and it’s really fun.” The club isn’t just about putting things together, though — it’s also for people who really love aviation. As one pupil told us, “I chose this enrichment because I have a passion for planes.”
The planes themselves are made from different materials. Pupils use balsa wood, plywood and string to carefully create their models. It takes patience, but it’s worth it to see the finished planes.
So, would they recommend it to others? The answer was a big yes! One pupil told us, “I would recommend this enrichment,” while another said, “Give it a go, it’s really fun.”
Flight Club is clearly a brilliant choice for anyone interested in planes, model-making, or just trying something new. Who knows — maybe it could even inspire some future pilots or engineers!
