The TIFS U13 girls’ hockey team recently played two exciting matches in a triangular tournament against Portsmouth High School and Portsmouth Grammar School. With all sixteen players split into two teams, both matches were full of energy, teamwork, and determination.
Before the games, we spoke to a few Year 8 players about how they were feeling.
Tallulah M said, “It was a cold day, but after warming up a bit, I was determined and ready to play.”
Flora R, also in Year 8, shared her thoughts, saying she felt confident before the matches. She admitted, “It was really cold,” but despite the chilly weather, she pushed through and played incredibly well.
The TIFS team showed great skill and effort throughout both games. They secured a 2-0 victory against Portsmouth Grammar School but narrowly lost 1-0 to Portsmouth High School in a close match.
Overall, it was a fantastic effort from the entire team, and every player gave it their all. A huge well done to the TIFS hockey squad for representing the school so well!
