Will is Set to Perform with Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra in December

Exciting news from Year 9 pupil, Will K, who will be performing with the prestigious Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra this Christmas season. On 14th of December 2024, Will is set to take the stage as part of the choir in their performance of The Snowman.

This is a huge moment for Will, who has been singing for five years and has reached Grade 8 in his vocal training. Singing with such a well-established orchestra has been a long-held dream of his, making this opportunity a truly special one.

Will shared his feelings with us, admitting that while he’s a bit nervous, he’s mostly excited to take on the challenge and perform in front of what promises to be a large and enthusiastic audience.

“This is a big event for me,” Will said with pride. “I’ve always wanted to perform with a choir like this, and now it’s really happening. I can’t wait to see how the audience reacts!”

We’re sure that this performance will be just the beginning for Will, and we hope to see him taking the stage in many more exciting events in the future.

PRESTIGIOUS AWARD FOR WILL

Will K was also the guest soloist with the Newchurch Male Voice Choir on Sunday 3rd November. He performed six songs to a capacity audience at Ryde Methodist Church as part of a concert to raise funds for the Museum of Ryde. Will also received the prestigious Bassett Stevens Memorial Award in recognition of his talent. The award provides funding to help with the costs of lessons and sheet music. The choir members are now keen to offer opportunities for other TIFS musicians to perform with them at their future concerts.
